TM0727 asked:

I was just wanted to know if the price is higher on the Blu-ray home theater system because of the Blu-ray player itself. Is there a difference in the quality of the sound produced? Or is it just the fact that one has is just a DVD player and the other is a Blu-ray player?

Blu-Ray is newer technology with better quality picture and new high-def audio formats.

Blue ray makes it look more real and has better quality. If i got to choose I would choose blue ray but if you don’t really care just get dvd because dvd still works goog =) that is what i have right now =D

Common Sensical

You have answered your own question. The only difference is the blu-ray player. If you were to play a DVD in both systems, they would sound the same, but blu-ray on its own has better sound and picture than DVD, regardless of the system it’s played on. If you want a system that plays blu-ray, get one of those.
